Dear friends,
It's hard to believe
that this time last year I was packing my suitcases and embarking on a year
of ministry and studies and stretching in Europe. It's now 12 months later
and after two wonderful semesters in Germany, an outreach to India and many
other places, I am now back in Nashville finally unpacking!

Among the sweaters and
saris and books and mementos that now cover my apartment floor - there is a
"prize possession": a photograph of the students I had the privilege of
teaching my second semester at Calvary Chapel Bible College - Siegen. You
could offer me a million dollars for it, and I would have to tell you "no
thank you" because it is priceless to me. The radiant faces of these
brothers and sisters in Christ from Germany, America, Slovenia and Brazil
represent to me what the Lord is doing in these last days. Around the
globe, He is raising up worshipers of Christ Jesus in Spirit and truth to be
around the Throne, giving Him glory.
These students are like
you and me. They have good days and bad days. They have trials and growing
pains. They have challenges and victories. And yet deeper than their
circumstances is an abiding joy in their Savior and a deep desire to share
that joy with others. You can see it in their faces. Their expression of
worship is so much more than the songs they sing on Sunday. These are men
and women who are learning to live lives of worship everyday and in every
way. And then -- they are taking it to "the nations!" I'm so proud of
them.
Though I wish I could
introduce each of you to these students personally, as well as the precious
ones who attended the worship conference we held in India last month, I
suppose it's quite possible you'll run into at least one of them soon! As
awesome and humbling as it is to be a worship leader and to travel here and
there bringing others into God's presence, it just doesn't compare to the
joy of raising up and encouraging other worshippers of Jesus Christ.
Call it "discipleship"
or a glimpse of "Mr. Holland's Opus," or simply "passing it on." Whatever
you call it, I call it "BEAUTIFUL" ...and the best investment of my life.
Though I am back in the
states "for now," I can assure you this musicianary work will be
continuing. I'm presently in Nashville, TN, to meet with pastors and
intercessors who are stateside, and yes -- it's time to do laundry! As
there are many ministry opportunities here and overseas, I would ask you to
pray for me, that I will continue to "follow the Lamb" wherever He leads.
If you would like to support this ministry financially in the new year, the
information for that is below. One time or monthly contributions are
tax-deductible via "The Bridge - A. Joseph Company," and a great help in
continuing this work of music evangelism. Describing the Great Commission,
a Nashville friend and pastor relayed to me that at any given time, we are
either "senders" or we are "go-ERs." Thanks so much for your part in
helping me be a "go-ER" for the Kingdom and His glory. Here's to MORE.
In His care,
Jennifer Martin
