“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due
season we shall reap
if we do not
lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to
all,
especially to those who are of the household of faith.” - Galatians
6:9-10 NKJV
Dear Friends,
When I think
of all the territory covered this summer driving from Nashville
to Southern
California and back, Nashville to Toronto and back, Nashville to
Florida and
back and two-round trip flights from Europe to the States and back
– I could get
a little weary. But instead, I feel refreshed, blessed, and
again humbled
by God’s goodness. I mean, who else can boast they saw Niagara
Falls, the
Grand Canyon, and the Eiffel Tower all within the same six-month
period. And
yet, the Apostle Paul reminds me in First Corinthians that there’s
really only
“one thing” (one Person) worth boasting in. So while I am thankful
to report all
the ground covered this summer, I can honestly say the travels
were simply a
means to a much more important end: sharing this love, this
ministry, this
message of Jesus Christ around the globe.
And now I am
back at home base in Central Germany, where another semester has
begun at
Calvary Chapel Bible College - Siegen, and I am again staff and
student,
mentor and musicianary. Post an “abbreviated” fall semester teaching
“Worship
Leading” to this international student body, I will return again to
India the
first part of November to co-lead a worship conference, equipping
musicians and
pastors from all over southern India. While all this must sound
“exciting” to
many people (and it is!) there is a great deal of prayer and work and
trust beneath
it all, and your continued prayers and support for these leaps
of faith are
humbly requested.
After sharing
at a church service in Belgium last weekend, a teenage girl
came up to me
saying she had just “happened” to visit that day not knowing there
was a guest
speaker. She went on to say that what I had shared that morning
with everyone
had “happened” to be exactly what she had been praying about,
needing some
encouragement in, these many months.
I thank the
Lord and each of you that there’s no “happenstance” about it.
He uses us.
He’s faithful. Thank you again for being willing vessels of His
goodness!
