Dear Friends,
Happy Spring!
While I expect a bit more snow on this side of things, there
have been
moments of bright and warmth here, and your notes and emails are
always
sunshine in my mail box.
Many teaching,
studying, mentoring, singing, worshiping adventures continue
here. Work at
the college is going very well and the travel/ministry
outreaches on
the weekends are picking up speed too. The phrase "timing is everything"
has all new
meaning when one considers the vast and precise train system here
and me running
to "this" connection and "that" platform. Funny - but only in
hindsight!
I would ask
for your prayers for two things specifically. I am linking
hearts and
vision with some special folks in Kaiserslautern, to bring ministry via
coffee house
outreach to American service men and women injured in Iraq and
Afghanistan.
We are beginning this 4 consecutive weekend outreach on April
17th.
Also, other
ministry opportunities for this spring and summer are extensive
and divinely
orchestrated. From singing in simple "stables" of grace to
festivals
drawing over a million and a half people, to vision casting meetings for
another
outreach in India, there is much work ahead. If you would like to
contribute to
plane tickets or the needed Eurail pass for these summer adventures
the
information is below. But please, more than anything, keep this work
covered in
prayer.
It seems
appropriate to quote D.L. Moody as I close. "I know perfectly well
that wherever
I go and preach, there are better preachers known and heard than
I am; all I
can say about it is that the Lord uses me."
